Mentor Mate
UX/UI design concept for an app connecting people on similar career paths who may need mentorship or guidance.
The Problem
People often struggle to find accessible and reliable mentorship for various aspects of life, including career changes, personal development, and life challenges. The challenge was to design an app that serves as a seamless platform for connecting mentees with mentors in any area of need.
The Strategy
I started with extensive user research to identify pain points and expectations from both mentors and mentees. Using insights from surveys and interviews, I created user personas and journey maps to guide the design. I developed wireframes to explore the app’s structure, focusing on intuitive navigation and a clean interface. Progressing to high-fidelity prototyping in Figma, I refined the design with attention to accessibility, visual consistency, and user engagement. Key features included robust search and filtering options, a mentorship matching system, and integrated communication tools.
The Result
The final prototype presented a user-friendly, visually engaging app that streamlined the process of finding and connecting with mentors. The design was well-received for its modern aesthetic, thoughtful functionality, and ability to cater to diverse mentorship needs.
